Before Christmas we conducted some research and nearly half of our 2,815 respondents said that they used some sort of fitness app to keep track of their progress and that gave us an idea… *drumroll*.

So today we’re announcing our 2015 “Meet the Competition” Challenge, which we are hosting in partnership with the team at Endomondo. Endomondo is a personal trainer in your pocket that provides audio feedback and guidance on how to achieve your fitness goals. So from the 15th of January they will be hosting our challenge on their site and via their app and we want you to take part.

How far do you think you can run in a month? We want to know, and more importantly we know you want to know too. So let’s find out.

Your challenge is to cover as much ground, aiming for 5k intervals, as possible in the four weeks between January 15th and February 15th.

Lace up, hit the roads and run. And if you run far enough while logging your progress, we’ll reward you with some great Life Style Sports prizes.

This isn't just about covering ground. This is about you challenging yourself and pushing your personal best. Life Style Sports can give you the edge with the very best technical, performance oriented running gear and expert advice available but it’s up to you to achieve those goals

At the end of the month, the three runners who have racked up the most kilometers will win Life Style Sports gift cards to spend instore or online at That means the more runs you log, the better your chance of winning.

We also believe that the little wins are important. So we'll be checking your progress and if you have a particularly good week you could be in with a chance of winning lots of other prizes throughout the challenge. To enter our challenge you’ll need to;

1. Sign up for a Free Endomondo account at or via the Endomondo app (available in the App Store or Google Play)

2. Once set up and logged in on the App or site, visit the challenges page and look for the Life Style Sports Challenge (From the 15th of January)

3. Click on the challenge and then click the join button

4. Once you’ve joined and logged in, every time you hit the road – make sure you log the run via the App
