Description

NIKE NIKE AIR ZOOM PEGASUS 38

Responsive training with the right fit and feel. Your workhorse with wings returns. The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 continues to put a spring in your step, using the same responsive foam as its predecessor. Breathable mesh in the upper combines the comfort and durability you want with a wider fit at the toes. A wider forefoot means more space for your toes, while the shoe's fit maintains the comfortable feel you expect from the Pegasus. Mesh in the upper feels breathable and plush while stretching with your foot for a comfortable shape and fit. Nike React foam is lightweight, springy and durable. More foam means better cushioning without the bulk. A Zoom Air unit puts more bounce with every step sits closer to your foot for responsiveness. Midfoot webbing gives a snug fit when you tighten the laces. More foam in the tongue helps cushion the top of your foot.

Great price, great running shoe, great Pegs!
I'd previously had Nike Free Runs, Pegasus 36 Trail and Trail 2 trainers over recent years but was excited to see the Peg 38 and how they compare. I wasn't disappointed! Aside from a couple of manufacturing issues that were resolved by Nike swiftly, these are great every day running shoes at a very reasonable price, offering comfort, breathability and much needed bounce for those uphill climbs! I run between 50-75k a week and have put in about 600k in my first pair of Peg 38 so far and thanks to Nike App 4th anniversary birthday have ordered a pair of the BRS Tiger orange colour way at a great discounted price! Next stop later in the year will be the Vaporfly Next% 2 although the price point for those is much higher. Great work Nike!

Don’t do it keep with the 37 or go half size up😡
Worst peg’s too date, too much cushioning around the tongue, and tight across the top of the foot…..both feet were totally numb on first run out the box.
I’ve had every Peg, over the yrs and cover 40-60 miles per week and never had a problem with tight fitting shoes, same socks as always and same size, over yrs…. Pegasus where my go to training shoe in both road and trail for my off road sessions, really like the 37 as without the cushioned tongue felt like a racing shoe but with comfort of training shoe. Always wore Nikes over 25 yrs of running….
If they keep with this concept on the 38 pegs I may after look elsewhere…
Please before you buy think off half a size up or go with wide fit

Most comfortable shoes ever
These are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. After the narrower fit of the 35, 36 and especially the 37, I’m pleased that the wider fit is back, and I hope it’s here to stay. The trainers do feel like a vastly improved version of the 34 with better cushioning and a better fit. The React foam is excellent and provides just the right amount of cushioning. The outsole has good grip and is very durable; the shoes can be worn on the road or on trails. The upper material is also very comfortable and provides the right amount of support and flexibility. Although the upper feels like it could be quite warm, I’ve worn the shoes in the recent hot weather and found that they were fine and not too hot at all. I really like some of the colours, especially the black/white/chlorine blue, which reminds me of Nike’s special edition Total 90 international football shirts from circa 2005, although I’m looking forward to some brighter colours being released. I’m not sure how this shoe can be improved for the 39 next year.

A great update for the Pegasus
I absolutely loved the Pegasus 35, but could’t get on with the 36 and 37 due to the top collar of those shoes digging into my ankle. While not perfect in that area, the new upper on the 38 is more forgiving around the ankle for me, so I’m pleased to be back running in the Pegasus.

The new upper material is soft, comfortable and flexible, providing quite a plush feel. It could benefit from a bit of additional ventilation over the tow box though. The lacing system and heel padding provide a nice lockdown for your foot right from the first run.

The combination of React foam and the Zoom air unit in the forefoot work well, although I would probably prefer if the forefoot area felt a little less firm. The outsole has a classic Pegasus grip pattern, which I’m sure will be durable and provide traction in different weather conditions.

Overall a huge improvement on the 37.
