NIKE MENS PEGASUS TURBO NEXT NATURE

The Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature is Nike’s latest development in designing performance footwear with the future of the planet in mind, and it continues the work started by the Air Zoom AlphaFly Next Nature and Nike Basketball’s Cosmic Unity. The Peg Turbo Next Nature is made with at least 50 percent recycled material by weight, and the midsole is made with at least 55 percent ZoomX foam scrap. The shoe uses 100 percent recycled Flyknit yarns in the upper to create a more secure, breathable and lightweight fit. Best daily do it all
The perfect peg. I love these they are comfortable responsive daily trainer, It does it all. The upper is like a race shoe and they are lightweight. I wish they didn't use the zoom x off cuts but maybe the next one.

Two fundamental issues
Very cushioned but two issues. 1. Toe box so big and fly nit lacks support so foot over hangs sole. 2. Bought in July and by end of September tread is worn off from primarily grass running.

Odd colour, comfy and unattractive.
The colour isn't as dark as it appears in the pictures. They are almost white. They are comfortable trainers but the recycled material makes them look battered before they've even been worn. I felt almost scared to wear them in case they broke easily.

A new Turbo
My old turbo 2’s were without a shadow of a doubt my favourite do it all shoe so I was soo excited when these dropped. I’ll say from the off that they don’t feel the same as the old turbos so I can see why they might fall short of expectations for a lot of people BUT they are still fantastic shoes! I’ve done tempos in them, a half at pace and a parkrun and they deliver. They’re super comfy and protect your legs. The recycled ZoomX doesn’t feel like that in a vapourfly but even now after only 40 miles it does give and it’s very bouncy. It is ‘heavier’ than the turbo 2 but I wouldn’t call it a heavy shoe at all and it means come race day you’ve built up a little more power in your legs. The outer is also surprisingly grippy! All in all really pleased and I’ll continue to use them for my marathon training

A great looking shoe that’s both comfortable & responsive!
As a big fan of the Turbo 2 I was really looking forward to the Turbo Next Nature drop. I wasn’t disappointed - I’m finding them great to run in, super comfortable and performing well at a variety of paces and distances.
Visually, they’re a very tasty looking shoe, too - a familiar silhouette in an awesome colourway.
The laces are perhaps a little long, but overall The Turbo Next Nature is a really great shoe.

Bit different to before but still a good all rounder and fun shoe.
First thing to say is that if you were expecting this to be more or less the same as the original and/or 2nd version of the Turbo then it may not feel that way out of the box but now that I have run 45 miles in them over 5 different runs, it does more and more give a similar vibe and gives me the same sort of flexibility in what I can use them for.
Initially you may well find they are very hard to get on. Don't worry, it becomes a lot easier after a few goes. Also feels bit narrow initially but Flyknit does stretch a bit width wise and no different here. Indeed, I have very narrow feet and now have had to pull in the laces quite tight so it ought to accommodate a good range of foot widths. Length is fine - I went for same size (UK 13) as all my other Nike shoes. Like the previous models there is good room in the toebox and allows me a good foot splay.
For a ZoomX shoe (albeit with a bit of protective carrier foam as well) the ride, while still a little soft, is somewhat firmer than you get in say the Invincible or even Vaporfly or Alphafly and so not that different to the Vomero 16 or Zoom Fly 5. In a way, it also a bit like that a beefed up Streakfly but without a feeling you should only be wanting to run as fast as you can in them. I have however felt the midsole has softened a bit since my initial runs. The stack isn't as high as in some shoes these days so it does have a little bit of ground feel to it which does make a nice change but may not be to everybody's liking.
Looking at the shoe, you might think is this really a running one and not actually a lifestyle shoe. Well to test that so far I have done a long run (16 miles), an interval session of 400m repeats, an acceleration run and two easy runs. I was pleasantly surprised and got through all those fine and legs were OK again to run the next day. OK it might not be the best choice for each of those but that's kind of the point of an all rounder shoe - it does the job well enough for different things. As such, I would not opt in to race in the Turbo but I never did with the original ones anyway. You could of course.
The outsole has decent drip without feeling bulky and indeed a good percentage of my runs to date have been off road on firm, dry gravel trails and worked just as well as on the road.
Weight wise it is a bit heavier than the Turbo 2 but actually only a bit more than the first version. Part of the reason for that is that this version has a bit more padding in the heel and tongue than the completely stripped back 2nd version but perhaps not quite as much as the original. One imagines the recycled elements add a little relative weight too. However it is noteworthy that it is only a fraction heavier than my Alphafly 2 and easily the lightest non racing shoe from Nike I have at the moment which includes the Pegasus 39, Vomero 16, Invincible (both versions), Zegama, Pegasus Trail 4 GORE-TEX.
I will finish by saying they just put a smile on my face. They look and indeed are somewhat different to "normal" running shoes but are actually fun to run in and if you want to pick up the pace you can.
