Look of an Icon A traditional collar and tongue bring the classic look of Pegasus to the trail. The shoe features responsive cushioning and support in the heel. Mesh in key areas on the upper make it breathable. Secure Fit A dynamic band system around the midfoot gives you secure support as you tackle uneven paths. Rugged Traction The rubber sole features a shockwave-like pattern that mimics mountain biking tires. Nubs give you traction and a smooth ride between trails and the road. More traction at the heel and toe helps you stay secure when going up or downhill. Just what I wanted.
Lovely wide toe - well, comfortable. Great protection for the sole of my foot. Has surprisingly sorted a niggly knee problem. Good robust build.

A near perfect shoe for runs in the country
This is my second pair of Pegasus Trail shoes, so some of my comments on durability are based on that first pair. I was looking for something a bit more robust for the winter and muddy paths trails around where I live. First thing to say is they look great, even better than the pictures. My wife thinks they look very smart and can’t believe the first thing I do is “ruin” them by going for a muddy trail run. The extra profile on the sole really helps on muddy tracks. In terms of fit they seem true to size with a good-sized toe box and the little bit of extra protection across the front helps keep your toes and toenails safe. They are well made and durable, my last pair did 1000km and are still okay. The foam is a bit crushed under the forefoot but that only became noticeable recently. They are fairly cushioned but not too much that they feel spongy. I’ve not had any problems with my feet or ankles running regularly in these, so the support is just right for me. I wouldn’t describe them as a fast shoe though. I would highly recommend these if you have a mixed run over paths and trails, and like to go out in all weathers. I use them summer and winter. They aren’t ideal for faster or longer road runs, but that is fine by me.
