But by chance, I stumbled on a youtube video that explained the Miler is made for wider footed people and the cushioning is for long range running (10+ miles), so I decided to give it a go and I am pleased I did.
The cushioning is perfect, I beat some of my PR's with this shoes which surprised me since it is not the lightest but it does protect your legs with the cushion so you feel less tired on long runs and can keep on going.
Lockdown of the foot is perfect and the laces are a good size too. It also helped a lot with my pronating.

I have put around 250 odd miles in these shoes and they've been a delight. They are heavier than others but it isn't noticable. They do not run narrow and you will have a hard time rolling your ankle in these. Very locked in and secure feel. Doesn't have the flair of a Pegasus or an Infinity but its a good solid reliable shoe. Once I have worn this pair down I will certainly be purchasing again!
Initial impression is that they seem massive and heavy
That said I've run three 8.5 mile runs and the shoe is comfortable and set a PB on my last run so weight is not affecting my times.
However I wouldn't say I am happy with how my run feels
Its like I have two bricks attached to my feet
They provide amazing support throughout - accommodating a wider front foot and narrower heel if you have either of these (if not, the shoe moulds around your foot with the gel lip also).
Having your foot in the right position promotes correct running technique and has enabled me to up my pace with longer strides for a greater distance without fear of knee or lower back pain. The souls are absorbing of shock and provide a spring to encourage you to take better strides.
Definitely worth the investment whether you’re new to running or more experienced. The technology in the souls mean that you can focus on the run and not over compensating for poor running shoes.
