Nike Mens Air Zoom Pegasus 39 Shield

Updated to keep you going through the winter elements, the Pegasus 39 Shield builds on the much-loved original. Coated in a water-repellent finish to keep you dry, they're lined with fleece to keep your feet warm during colder spells. Underfoot, two Zoom Air units provide cloud-like cushioning, while a rugged traction sole provides even more grip on wet surfaces.

Good daily trainer, but not particularly great on its own

Purchased a year ago, I can say that the pegasus 39 is definitely not a flashy shoe that you will be immediately impressed by. It is quite ordinary, but in a really really SOLID way. The cushioning has a nice little softness for someone looking for an everyday, cold weather shoe that feels best in that 5-10km range e.g. a good daily trainer. The grip is phenomenal and will have no trouble making you feel confident on the run. The popping noise is irritating at the start but really doesn't get in the way of performance. The comfort is great, feels warm and softly lined when you slip them on. Lockdown is great. No heel slip for me. Can easily get 800km+ out of these, currently on about 400km because I use them in a rotation. One drawback is they are heavy, and don't feel particularly great at speed. However I think heavy shoes can be beneficial training in so when you transition to a fast shoe you feel even better, and that is big plus for an everyday runner trying to get satisfaction out of the product. Solid 7/10 daily trainer, and if paired with another faster lighter shoe, then it turns into a 8.5/10
