Like other academy products, this product fits snug and is breathable. Useful while on court or on the field especially during colder seasons, with little holes for your thumb to keep your whole hand warm. However, during intense sessions, it may limit proper mobility. Overall great product for on and off the court.

I have always worn tshirts, maybe a hoody in the gym but I've always seen people wearing quarter zip long sleeve tops. Since trying this I know why. It's getting colde and a tshirt isn't enough, but I don't want to wear a jacket. The Nike Dri-FIT Academy top is perfect for keeping warm but not getting hot. It's stretchy and breathable, and because it's Dri-FIT it dries quickly.
The fit is great, not baggy but it's not skin tight either. The fabric is stretchy and moves with you, great for the gym.
The design is nice and simple which I like.
The only thing I would change is the colour, even though I like it, I'd probably get black next time.

Great top for playing football on an autumn evening

I love this top. It fits perfect and the dri-fit fabric makes it extremely comfortable to wear. I love the design and the thumb holes in the sleeves are very practical. I'm now going to order in all the different colors available.

Great feel and style for everyday errands, also so easy to throw on for a quick workout, when you look good you feel good!! Big fan of the material as it keeps you cool but is very comfy.

Firstly I just want to say the fit of the XL is perfect all over, except from the forearms/lower arms where it just feels really tight. I am over weight but never had this problem with any XL too before.
Other than that the fabric feels spot on for exercise and is comfortable whilst doing cardio at the gym and outside jogging.
I think it's a nice simple design with a good feel when exercising, I just don't get why the forearm bit is so tight.

The top is aimed to wear whilst playing football but I found it was equally as good at the gym.

It's made from a breathable and flexible material that made it very comfortable to wear during exercise but also as loungewear.

My favourite feature is the white mesh line that follows up the side of the body and across the arms, as not only does it provide a practical aspect it gives the top a fashionable element and design. One feature I might change is to be less tight on the arms, as for someone who wears a medium it perfectly suits my chest but is slightly tight on the arms, although not so much that it is comfortable however.

The Nike Dri-Fit long sleeve gym shirt is 🔥! It's lightweight, breathable, and keeps you dry during intense workouts. The fit is perfect too! 💪🏼 I love the thumb slots in the end of the sleeve really locks down the sleeves and give it's a more snug fit also looked cool.

Would highly recommend this product, great fit for running , gym and walking. Used in Norway for a hike / walk. Very breathable during activity. Comfortable fabric. Design fits your body shape.
The only thing I would change is having a few more breathable holes on the back, to reducing sweating. As when carrying a backpack when hiking this did draw more sweat than normal.

This product has been one I've bought for years, their designs have changed visually but the fit has always been the same. They are a great price, quality and durable.

I go to the gym and I'm into golf/football, and I can wear this jacket for them all, so it is definitely versatile. I even wear it to lounge in sometimes as it is comfy.

I absolutely love the thumb holes which keep the sleeves locked in and part of your hands warmer when it's colder.

It's lightweight yet warm, so it's always perfect for typical English weather and can be worn year round

One thing I would change compared to the old design is the actual Nike tick itself seems to be more rounded instead of pointed like the old design, but that's my own preference and doesn't change the quality of the jacket. Potentially again my own preference, I would maybe have something else going on with the design of the top to give it a bit more personality, but the current look is quite smart.

The previous design had a loop around the lower chest and nothing on the arms, where as this has a design going down the arm and sides of the torso also. Both the older and current designs seem timeless and I will be able to wear this for years to come. The fabric is a great quality and slightly stretchy which is nice as I have slightly larger arms/shoulders for my height. This also helps when hooking the loop over your thumb. I particularly like doing this when playing football or going on a run as it keeps the jacket arms in place instead of riding up my arm.

I also love how this product comes in a range of colours. I love wearing bright colours, then I also love wearing darker shades, so it's great to know I can but a couple different colourways and keep myself in comfort, and not have to spend lots!

A great product just fit was abit tight,

Typically I am not a huge fan of quarter-zip tops mainly due to the material and the neck region however this caught me by surprise, as it seems to have taken many past imperfections and simply improved upon them. Starting with how comfortable it is, not many could compare to say the least, adding to this a soft fabric guard, at the top of the zip, so that it does not rub, on top of lowering the height on the neck, makes it difficult to find fault. It has a little bit of breathing room where you need it and is tighter in the areas where it should be. One issue appears just around the forearm region, when running it feels a bit too restrictive. A size up, if you have larger arms in general, would allow for the necessary space, nevertheless a positive aspect to the arms is that there are breathable perforated panels, which allow cool air to swiftly reach areas. So it is fitted whilst almost allowing you a wide amount of movement, in a sleek, lightweight design, the weight is helpful but, don't mistake it for a piece that is just to throw over, looks can be deceiving, it is much warmer than you would expect and definitely does the job to keep you at that perfect temperature. A surprising find were the thumbholes. I've recently found a number of pieces, including these bonus unnoticed details. On top of that, also finding out that the swoosh was embroidered, was an added feature, as it will never fade. Coming in a dark navy tone, it is one to remember.

This is just awesome. Starting from the fabric, feel and comfort, just top notch! Very comfortable and have a cooling effect whilst exercising. One of my top exercise outfit!

Perfect for warmer weather but will not so much in the winter months. This is a good quality item with lightweight, comfortable fabric. Wears and washes well.
About the design:
- Nike embroidery is always a plus over print.
- Quarter zip is reliable and doesn't snag, with a fabric guard so it doesn't catch your neck
- Thumbholes are a bonus, but if you don't use them they are subtle enough to go unnoticed.
- Nice navy colour with white accents, one stripe on each sleeve ends abruptly at elbow but doesn't jar the eye. The other white stripe under the arm continues under the arm and full length, giving it an eye catching design
About the fit:
- As a larger man who does weightlifting, but as a hobby not competitively, I found this to fit well in shoulders and upper arm
- But it is tight around forearms. I wouldn't say my forearms are very large / oversized so this could be something to consider as I found it to be restrictive in this area.

To conclude this review I would recommend this item, it is the quality I would expect from Nike, but beware if you have large forearms!

Comfortable top that doesn't restrict movement. I have a muscular upper body build and the top was comfortable when changing direction playing football or running.

Lightweight and breathable, ideal to warm up in at the start of training sessions. Easy to take off and on once warmed up with smooth running zip.

Hidden thumb loops keep your hands warm if needed to wear them but also not noticeable if not threading the thumb through so looks good whether using the loops or not.

This top was super comfortable! I wore it with jeans and joggers and it didn't look out of place. The fit is great I wear an XL and this was the all round perfect fit for me as sometime things can be too large in the body but fit in length. The material is soft against your skin and it kept me nice and warm on the colder British summer days.

The top is really nice quality, does not feel cheap or itchy. I have used it for my morning runs and has kept me warm. The top is also quite breathable with the mesh panelling which is a nice touch. Overall really happy and recommended!

Fits really well for my size and height and is very comfortable. The top has breathable panels in great places that help to keep you cool and the material doesn't cause static like similar tops.
The only thing I would change is that on the sleeves it has an overlap of material to allow your thumbs to go through, this is slightly uncomfortable and could be designed to allow this without feeling the pull of the material.

Fit and feel:
For my body fit was perfect - sleeves were a great length and as I use this to run it's nice not to get cold wrists. Feels comfortable to the skin and I have a few times worn it over a bare torso and will happily do so again.

Design:
Simple and streamlined and it works. Thumb holes in the sleeves are a great addition. Cannot fault this aspect at all. Also loving the placement of the 'go faster' white stripes. Navy on white is always a great colour palette and nice as a change from the standard black and white.

Fabric:
Perfect for exercising as dri fit always is and I find I can wear this in both hot and cold weather equally.

Positive aspects:
Thumb holes are great - please do not get rid of these ever! If they're not your thing aesthetically then have no fear - they're so subtle you barely notice them unless you have them in use.

Suggested improvements:
The fabric can catch and snag quite easily - I've found a few pulls across the body and arms. Not sure how to fix this but overall does not affect comfort or use.

Very impressive product fit was slightly too slim, especially around the shoulders and arms.

The design is very good although something I wouldn't personally purchase.

While the material of this top is of the standard I would expect, I couldn't get on with it due to the fit and styling.

I have other Nike products in the same size as the Dri-FIT Academy but when I wear them underneath this they tend to stick out at the bottom, leaving me constantly fiddling with the hem.

I also found the arms uncomfortable with the forearms seemingly quite tight. The way it is constructed also leaves a seam on the bicep which would often irritate.

I'm also not a fan of the size of the white panelling down the sleeves. For me it is too chunky and would look better if it was a bit slimmer and more subtle.

Performance-wise, I can't have any complaints and it performed exactly as I have come to expect from a Dri-FIT product, I just found it lacking in certain aspects of the design and fit.

Lightweight and well fitted Dri-FIT academy top provides essential comfort when competing in physical sports or day to day activities. Wore the top whilst playing tennis and it was amazing how light it felt on my body whilst still soaking up the sweat. As well as this, the breathable panels on the side of the top helped me stay cool as the breeze would effortlessly pass through enabling me to stay focused and not become too hot whilst wearing the top. The material is very soft and light providing a fantastic feel on the body and durable enough to stretch when engaging in physical activity.

Furthermore, the style of the top with the quarter zip allows it to be stylish as you can vary between keeping it open or having it fully zipped which provides a different look.

The only negative which I experienced with the top is the fact that it is slightly tight on the elbow area which makes movement with the arms not as free. That is one thing I would change, making the material around the elbow area slightly more relaxed to allow free movement. However, the fitting on the rest of the item is snug and perfect for physical activity.
