Men’s Nike Free Run 5.0

Less is more with the latest iteration of the Nike Free Run. These men’s running shoes are perfect for low-mileage sprints with a lightweight mesh upper that feels like a second skin. Reduced foam in the midsole offers a lightweight, natural feel while rubber pods on the heel and forefoot enhance durability and traction. The absence of a heel counter lets your foot move more naturally, while the liner provides a close, connected feel to the pavement. Finished with asymmetrical laces on the side to help relieve pressure and ensure a comfortable fit from start to finish.

Product Features

  • Stretchy upper ensures a one-to-one fit
  • Bootie design integrates the tongue for a snug fit
  • Low foam density helps your foot feel closer to the ground
  • Heel-to-toe grooves for multi-directional flexibility
  • Hot-knife cuts on the outsole and side

Perfect for running.
Love these trainers find them so comfortable for running and also so light as well. Only thing do wish I didn’t get white 🤦🏼‍♂️😫😂.

Light weight summer shoe
These shoes come really light and have a snug fit around the middle of the foot, so recommend getting half a size up. The shoe does feel nice when walking or light running (<5 Km). The shoe moves with your foot providing a natural flow / ride. Ideal for summer due to the mesh material of the shoe upper.

From amazing to ok
I bought my first pair of Nike Free back in 2015 and they were amazing. Simple design and extremely comfortable experience. My second pair was bought in 2018, still very nice feel but I did not like the design as much anymore and the laces had the tendency to occasionally untie themselves. This is my third pair and I don't enjoy the design, it is too 'fancy' for my liking. They are still comfortable and this is the reason I ended up keeping them but I would have preferred an all laces solution that gives a bit more freedom. The slip on feature makes it harder for me to put the shoes on and also reduces comfort (I feel less 'Free'). It's a shame that during an interval of 5 years Nike managed to turn something amazing into something ok-ish and average. I expect a lot more form Nike and I hope the next generation of Nike Free will return to it's roots and will be a pleasure to buy again.
