Nubs give you traction and a smooth ride between trails and the road. More traction at the heel and toe helps you stay secure when going uphill or downhill. Nike React foam provides cushioned responsiveness for a smooth transition. Its full-length design gives your foot stability as you brave rocky terrain. Durable mesh throughout the upper increases airflow and helps drain water, so you can stay cool and dry. Perforated tongue helps resist water and increase drainage. Faux gaiter piece at the collar helps keep dirt and debris out. Midfoot cage helps your foot stay secure and contained. Pull tab at the heel for easy on and off. Toe fangs at the forefoot help enhance traction.

New trail shoes.
Great shoes, ran 1000k in a pair of Pegasus 36 Trail and then bought the Trail 2 for a 100 miler in September. They performed really well, no sore feet and didn’t have to change socks even. It’s time for Nike to design a pair of Trail shoes with deeper lugs and something to suit wetter, muddy conditions please.

Very Well Cushioned Trail Shoe
Returning to running after many years, and many added pounds of weight, I wanted a trail shoe that would hold up to a good pounding.

The shoe feels a little small on the foot - maybe half a size - in both length and width, but it is not uncomfortable.

In use, the upper feels supportive, the sole has performed faultlessly over both hard and soft mud, and the midsole gives the plushest cushioning of any shoe I've ever used.

It even looks great, too (brick red / yellow), while the tongue and shoe collar has prevented any trailside debris from entering.

Would I buy these again? Absolutely!

For reference, I'm 6' 7" tall, weigh approx 310lbs (!!!) and take a size 14UK shoe.

I was so looking forward to running in these shoes, but really wish they could be made lighter, Yes I know that there Terra Keiger and the Wildhorse, I would have loved to have these as a light as the Pegasus 36 with the react foam. Is there going to be a Pegasus 37 Trail ??

As a beginner in running I thought I’d invest in something comfortable, I’m used to cycling on off-road terrain and running in the same conditions felt like a breeze. Perfect grip, comfort like no other, overall rating for this shoe. 10/10

These shoes are huge! I would describe them as long and narrow, like narrow boats.
These shoes are narrow fitting causing some rubbing on the outside of the little toes. The grip is good on unpaved surfaces and adequate on paved surfaces.
Good looking shoes but narrow and long!
