Just didn't work for me
Really wanted to like these but they fit poorly and just didn't feel right. For context I am a loyal Saucony customer and have multiple pairs of their road and trail running shoes. I was disappointed and returned them. I'll still buy their shoes, just not these. Better luck next time.

Nice shoe
Bought this on sale thinking this will be a great foul weather shoe especially as we head into fall and winter. Shoe feels good. Firmer than the Ride TR and I like that. Saving this for the season ahead but have worn it a few times and really enjoyed the feel.

Saucony Ride tr2 gtx make great wet weather golf shoes!!
I bought these shoes to fill two needs- serve as rain day golf shoes and as cold weather/ wet weather option for my daily walking program. Today I needed water proof golf shoes due to existing wet conditions. They passed the test with flying colors. My feet and socks stayed dry for all 18 holes. In addition I was pleased with the overall comfort and excellent grip provided. I already use the Saucony Perigrine16's as my regular golf shoe but will not hesitate to rotate these in even during dry weather. The comfort is comparable to the saucony ride 18 and 19 shoes I include in my walking rotation.

Comfortable
Outstanding shoes. I have very large flat feet and the insoles come out so my orthotics can fit in. I've never had waterproof shoes that I forget to take off because they're so comfortable. A+ in my book.

Very good...but...
It has been a long road. First I have heel spurs on outside of each heel, I am old..65. Up-front...these are stiff shoes and you will not break them in, they are made of very durable materials that will not yeild. Next they run tight over the forefoot, I have to skip the 3rd eyelet down from the top to keep them from being too tight. BTW I wear size 11 and feet normal to skinny. OK, the laces are 48 inches, not long enough to do loop-through lacing utilizing top two eyelets. A polyester light grey pair laces from Amazon at 54 inches long and flat 8mm wide are perfect and look good. Now the blood, bloody heels both feet on the back heel and the sides of heels. I walk 8 to 10 miles every other day and I have no feeling in my feet and legs for most part. Get home bood in socks and on inside shoe heel sides. After a month of healing and doing a lot of research into remedying the very lightly padded rear heel sides including the back I figured out a great solution that worked perfectly for me...cut pieces of 1/8 inch thick neopreme material that has laminated fabric on the surface. Cut to fit all around the heel including 2-1/2 inches from the back center to the sides of the heel. This was a one piece cut. Used double sided outdoor tape to hold in place and sewed neopreme material to where it met the top of the shoe. Wow they are perfect super comfortable and no heel issues at all. The good, these are well made shoes that uses high quality materials. They are stable and give the feeling of secure confidence. They have gor-tex and are bulletproof. I have worn them in snow , mud mix downpours single digit temps and they were great. If you have normal heel bone structure these will be comfortable out of the box...but if they cause you you issues like me...you can make them perfect. Oh one more thing, when brand new the are noisy, clicking sound, very annoying at each step. This is due to the durable material used over the forefoot, it clicks or pops due to stiffness. Man-handle the shoes bend them at each side from middle of laces in....bend from bottom and top you won't hurt them they are tough. I did it twice for 15 minutes each and no more noise. I really like these shoes and am glad I put the time in to make them perfect.

Extremely stiff on roads especially, not quite as bad on trails as you are moving slower - not for me I'm afraid.

Awesome winter running shoes.
I purchased these as my winter running shoes. The traction is wickedly good. I have worn these mostly on snow covered roads and gravel here in Northern Wisconsin. The Gore-Tex upper provides more warmth than regular synthetic mesh. I have worn these shoes in 2F conditions and they kept my feet comfortable. The cushion is dialed in perfectly - good even on the short pavement sections on the way to gravel road or trail. Good right out of the box, but supremely comfortable after about 30-40 miles.

Great trail shoe
I purchased the Ride TR2 GTX to complement my Ride 18's. I use these to run in wet and snowy conditions in the Northeast. Also light trail running where it could be muddy. They are super comfortable to walk or run in. The goretex holds up to it name. The traction is much better than the regular 18's. I ran in mud, rain, etc. and waterproofing does the job. They are as light as the regular Ride 18's and fast. These did take some time to break in as other reviews stated. I thought the fit was true as is. Would recommend if you are not running on technical trails or like to run on trail/gravel and paved road mix.
