Perfect when working out at home on hard floors

With cardio maybe it hurts from the ankle a bit but i pulled it few times till it loosened a bit and works perfect for me ... You feel you're in control inside the shoes.. that you'd not slip and thats what i just need

The tongue of this shoe makes it hard to put the shoe on without putting additional effort into loosening the laces to move it back into place as its edges fold oddly internally. The shoe is also not good for street running as any rocks or gravel on the street is immediately felt. This should be branded as an indoor running shoe. It is airy allowing for your feet to cool and thus remain dry during heavier runs.

These shoes provide great stability for all the types of lifting I do (e.g. bb, pl and oly). I feel secure in them and they've been quite comfortable through the 6 or 8 sessions I've worn them. I'm actually surprised how much I like them.

Purchased the shoes for dead lifts and squat purposes. I ended up using them for lifting and casual wear purposes because of how comfortable they were. 10/10 would recommend.

Size is as expected. Don't expect this shoe to feel like a running shoe since its designed for training. Great shoe for leg training. It's snug, great support, and looks awesome. I highly recommend this for for training.

The shoe heel is very stiff (no cushioning) and rubbed against my achilles tendon resulting in a painful blister.

I'll try a thicker sock to cushion my achilles tendon, once the current blister heals.

Everything else with the shoe is excellent.

I've had these about 2 weeks now and yes, they provide great stability and traction on gym floors, but they feel like there's no padding in the soles at all. Any running in place or jumping leaves my feet sore and I definitely need different shoes for even short runs on the treadmill. I would not recommend these if doing any jumping, running, or walking.

This is an awesome pair of sneakers, the styles are unique, the comfort of using the shoe is outstanding plus the price is very affordable.

I was gifted these shoes for fathers day and loved it it runs true to size my only problem is its too tight after one day of use the bottom outer side of my foot would hurt i only wore the sneakers 2 times and i literally had to take my shoes off in my car and at work cuz of the pain. Cant return becuz no receipt and no box due to the gift. Stuck with them and deff not trying to feel pain again so brand new in my closet

My daughter and son-in-law gifted me with the Reign's predecessor training shoe about a year ago so that I would have plenty of stability during my weight training regimen. They provided that, but also sufficient flexibility for me to follow-up 30-minutes' brisk walk and an inclined treadmill. My dogs never barked.

The TriBase Reign is significantly stiffer. That's good news for someone deadlifting umpty ump pounds and they work well for me in the weight training part of my workout. But now I must tote along a second pair of shoes for my walking regimen. One session in the Reigns and I'd blistered my Achilles tendon area and was experiencing an ache along the base of my instep. Hence my mixed-bag review. If you solely are looking for a stiff soled, stable, good looking trainer -- these are that and maybe more, I'll find out. But try walking and the dogs will growl and howl.

They look good but are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever bought. The shoes rubbed the back of my heels raw, literally bleeding.

Very comfortable shoe but very tough to put on. Tight in the middle of the shoe. I need to purchase a shoe horn.

All my casual wear shoes are UA so I figure I could wear these for CrossFit in place of the Metcons. After my first wear, I had blisters on the back on my heel/achilles because the shoes are very tight and rub. I could not wear them for the second workout due to blisters/cuts on my achilles. I am having to double over my socks to pad my heel so they will not rub. I am through a full week of wear and hope there is a break-in period that I have to get through for these.. The sole of the shoe is fine but the arch to the heel is tight fitting. This is not a problem I have with Metcons in the same size.

I wore these through bodybuilding, HIIT, and Crossfit workouts. They are comfortable and stable for the bigs lifts like squats, deadlifts, bench and versatile enough for most HIIT.

They fell flat with jumping rope —single and double unders. They hurt so bad and my foot cramped so much I finished the workout in socks. I think the cause is the complete lack of lateral (side to side) stability in the shoe.

These are good looking shoes and it’s nice to have an UA option for functional fitness training. I am looking forward to buying the next generation with the hopes the lateral stability gets addressed.

I’m a huge UA fan. In fact, if I’m not at the firehouse you’ll most likely see me decked out from head to toe in UA gear. I was pumped when these were released and bought them as soon as they were available. They rubbed quite a bit on the inner arch of my feet, leaving me with blisters. I thought maybe there was just a “breaking in” period or something. Have given these shoes multiple tries and continue to get the same result...blistered arches at the end of every workout. Pros: they look great, get compliments on them all the time. Super grippy sole that allows for aggressive cuts/maneuvers while training. Buuuut, my feet feel miserable after use. That’s just been my personal experience with these.

I was extremely excited to have received the pair I ordered upon release, but was met with complete disappoint when my size 13 fit incredibly narrow. I do have a wider than average foot, but not wide enough to require a wide fit shoe. Based on this fit, there is no way this shoe could provide the stability of its competitors like the Metcon or Nano. A wide fit shoe may be the answer here which I would gladly give this shoe another shot.

Always had the swoosh brand before and had to have multiple for different uses. Those are great for heavy lifting (xfit kind) sprints and lateral moves. My first pair but definitely not my last. Great job UA

So much hype around xfit and gear. These shoes are new players to the game. I own all three major players now. Started with the nanos, and last year, invested in MetCons, and now these TriBase. I use all three randomly, to see which provides the best support and performance. So far, they all perform very similar, especially for the average xfit. I'm sure the top 1% of the 1% will know the difference, the rest of us, it come down to your feet and your genetics on how they're designed. My feet are wider than average, so these TriBase feel as if they have a little more room than the MetCons, but similar to the Nanos. Doing Oly Lifts and Power Lifts in these vs the other two, are pretty much the same across the board. For running? I haven't used these yet. so can't comment on that. Style wise? I like the black and gum soles, tribase were a perfect meld of this style. They feel pretty sturdy too. but I only use these for indoor applications. They haven't touched the pavement. Overall, i'd recommend these if you're a beginner to an average fitness athlete. Especially if you're an UA fan, then you'll love these.

Nice looking shoe but waaaaay to narrow. I feel like they will stretch out but I think a half size down would make this less stable. They are good for lifting but not so much for agility work. I'm sure if you have narrow feet these will be spot on for you.

I was using toe shoes, but these give me great support for doing heavy squats with good form.

Totally worth it. I was using some basic Under Armour running shoes for CrossFit and noticed I was having issues with stability but didn’t think much of it. Got these shoes, it’s literally night and day. Lightweight, stability is awesome, plus they’re good looking shoes. So pleased with this purchase. They fit great, nice material. These shoes are amazing for training. I’m a woman, size 9 shoe but purchased a 7 since these are men’s shoes and they are perfect.

I have tried multiple training shoes by UA and boy far these are the best shoes they have came out with. From power lifting to cross training these shoes can handle it all! Great comfort, snug fit with out squeezing your feet.

I have like 4 Pairs of UA shoe but nothing beats this one. I can do Lunges Comfortably without having to worry if my shoe will be flexible without worn out . Some genius really made this who understand all aspects of training. I Deadlift 150 KG, Squat 140 Kg and everything is perfect. The heel, the power, the push it has got everything you need to train for power, speed and strength. I even did my snatches and clean and jerks. Go for it.

Have gone through five pairs of Inov-8 240's for the last five years and absolutely love them. Wanted to try something new and settled on the Reign. Out of the box I liked the look but not the feel. Stiff and heavy compared to the Inov-8's and there is an internal strap that felt annoying. Almost sent them back. Decided to try them in the gym. First workout included burpees and wall balls - loved the stability on the wall balls and the flexibility and protection on burpees. Never felt the internal strap during the workout and they breathe well. Excellent result. Second workout, squats and box jumps. After wearing lightweight and fairly unstable (by design) shoe, I really like the solid feel of these. They will be keepers. Only issue so far is tight lacing, no big deal. Size is accurate, go with your dress shoe size. Hope this helps, as I would have liked a detailed summary when ordering a brand new product.

The shoes runs true to size, HOWEVER, it’s too narrow. Length of the shoes is perfect but after just wearing them for a bit, the side of my foot starting to hurt. I tried a WOD in them and my foot started to cramp up. My shoes were even really laced up right either.

Overall traction of the shoes is great. Comfortable for workouts. It’s just too narrow.

Under Armour nailed it with these training shoes! My favorite training shoe. Perfect fit, durable, stability on upper and lower shoe, and can do any workout you want in them. Love these!

The inside is constructed with tabs / straps designed to hold the tongue in place. This hinder easy slip on and off significantly and the inner straps appear to be poorly made... meaning they will tear in time with slip on and off. In CF slipping shoes on and off fast is key as you swap to lifters. Clearly someone who watches CF and does not participate in CF designed these. Remake the design and you have a functional shoe.

I have had a few issues with certain UA shoes being too narrow. I was concerned with this due to the heavily built insole for rope work. The shoe is incredibly well built but too narrow. If you have wider feet, use caution.

I've always been an UA fan, but they did not have a decent training shoe which is why I've been using the Metcon 3 for over a year. Finally, in December they came out with a serious training shoe to compete with the Metcon and I ordered it immediately. Although, I am bias towards UA I will do my best to be as honest as possible.

First off, the sizing is about right... it does feel a little loose at times but going down half a size might be too tight. I am happy I went true to size with this model.

I've been using the shoe for all my workouts since receiving the item, and they have been phenomenal. The stability on these are amazing, which lead me not to wear my AdiPower shoes during squats/bench. The TriBase technology does come in handy for turf sprints, sled runs, or walking lunges. The laces are difficult to pull from the lace hole, but I suppose that's a good thing to keep the shoe sturdy on your feet.

In comparison, to the Metcon 3 I have been using I would say the ankle portion of the shoe was a bit more comfortable on the Metcon, but it was deteriorating a lot faster. The Reigns seem to be a lot more durable.

Overall, I would purchase this shoe in another color way and the 2nd version of it when it releases.

Very comfortable. Run a little big but not terrible. Would be nice if they were a little wider. Used for a moderate workout, great stability and comfort across all exercises. Would definitely recommend.

A shoe built with purpose, these are super stable and solid for lifting. You can do a few sprints in them, but if you are doing more than that go with a different shoe to run in

This is the best low profile training shoe out. It has an amazing first step in comfort and gives you that feel of being so connected to the floor.

These shoes are great for circuit workouts. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they are. They are quite stiff around the body of my foot, which is what I wanted. There's also ample amount of space in the toe box; closer to a dedicated running shoe. I haven't had any major issues going through my two a day workouts. They were wearing on my ankles a bit but that was easily remedied with cuffed socks. All in all...I would definitely recommend them.

Huge fan of this show, unbelievably stable feels solid in all movements I've done from Olympic lifts, to box jumps, to double-unders. On rope climbs, they're the best I've ever used.
