Description

NIKE MENS ZOOMX INVINCIBLE RUN

Light, soft and responsive, made to keep you on the run. Get after those long runs with the Nike ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit. A lightweight and responsive foam delivers a super-soft feel and helps deliver energy with every step. Breathable and secure, it's one of Nike's most tested shoes. Lace up and feel the potential when your foot hits the pavement. Higher foam heights provide an even softer feel. A wide, exaggerated shape at the forefoot offers a more stable ride. Nike ZoomX foam is responsive and lightweight, giving you bounce with every step. Shaped like a rocker, the foam provides support for the 3 phases of a runner's stride. It offers flexibility when your foot rises off the ground, a smooth ride when your foot is moving forward and cushioning at ground contact. An evolved Flyknit upper places zones of breathability where your foot heats up most. It's strong and durable, keeping your foot secure with every mile. A waffle outsole was created using runner-informed data for traction where you need it. This info also helped guide the design and look of the shoe's sidewalls. A panel at the heel is embedded in the Flyknit, providing support and stability. The collar is cushioned for a soft, comfortable feel.

Excellent all rounder
Great runners especially on long runs. Definitely go half a size bigger for the perfect fit. They have fantastic cushioning and they were excellent value for money.

My favourite shoe at the moment. Next day delivery from Lifestyle. Super service.
These shoes are amazing. True to size. Very soft under foot but the zoom x foam gives excellent feedback. When I try and go for a slow jog it really encourages me to go quicker. I really do love this shoe and at this price you can not go wrong. This is a neutral shoe.

ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit v React Infinity Run Flyknit
After my React Infinity Run Flyknit shoes, I was looking for a replacement and took a while to decide between the React Infinity Run Flyknit 2 or ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit. As a fan of ZoomX I decided to go with the Invincibles. So if you're in a similar situation, maybe this comparison will help:

Looks: Not that it's important, but the ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit is not a pretty shoe. It looks like a modern chunky tennis shoe with too much material. This is of course very subjective, but I'm not a fan. Luckily I'm more worried about performance... It has moved that massive Infinity forefoot landing pad to the heal, so if you're looking at the pictures and wondering about that, the heal area is oversized for sure, but that seems to propel you forward with that signature ZoomX springiness. Based on looks alone, I wouldn't buy again.

Upper: The Invincible locks your foot in so it doesn't move around at all. An extra lacing hole and a sock liner hold your foot in place nicely. I didn't have an issue with Infinity but reviews suggest some of you did. So to me this feels a bit claustrophobic but I'm getting used to that. I wouldn't want to wear them in hotter climates I don't think. The sock liner means there is an additional layer of fabric, and this "outer" doesn't sit flush with the liner so it doesn't keep its shape all that well/it sort of bubbles in places. The Flyknit is quite plastic-like so they don't get trashed as quickly as my Infinitys did. I'm not overly impressed with the upper - looks and construction - but they fit well out the box and are true to size.

Foam and outsole: ZoomX is awesome! If you have never tried it, this might be a good opportunity to change your runs. This is the main reason I chose the Invincibles over Infinity 2 as I was looking for ZoomX in a training shoe. I have some Vaporflys for races and if I could justify the cost I would wear them for training too. It's super responsive and as I said it's back heavy so you really spring forward with every step. The waffle outsole is nice and grippy and better than the Infinity outsole for that. As for durability, I was surprised the Infinity sole lasted as well as it did, only starting to show some light wear after 400kms, so if the Invincibles last as well I'll be happy. They are already showing a tiny bit of wear after 50km so we'll have to see about that. The mass is towards the heal and the oversized forefoot Nike talks about feels smaller than the Infinity, but that's an optical illusion set off by all the junk in the trunk. It's as big as Infinity up front and now with the added Invincible out back. Basically a whole lotta sole going on with this shoe!

Run quality: These are fast training shoes for serious runners, and would be very good racing shoes for anyone taking on a first half marathon or more or just getting into running and is prepared to spend the money. They are lighter than they look thankfully so once you are used to all that outsole you hardly notice they're on.

Price: Sheesh... not the cheapest, but if you're comparing these two shoes you're obviously serious enough to spend a bit more than a Pegasus. They are more than React Infinity Run Flyknit 2 so if you can afford the extra 20 and you're curious, definitely give them a try. If you're on the fence and don't want to pay so much, either get the original Infinity on sale (that is a bargain!) or stick to Pegasus or similar.

Injury prevention: I can't say if these prevent injuries or make it easier to go out training again the next day, but I haven't sustained any injuries with them and nor did I with Infinity. But I am lucky enough to not get too injured with any other shoes either.

To buy or not to buy: I don't like the upper or the looks, but this is great running shoe. Will I get it again, I don't know. Maybe there will be another option for me in another 400kms or so and then I'll be looking for reviews like this to make the decision even harder :)

Sore calves a thing of the past
I have suffered through my running life for a fair while now suffering with sore calves after most runs, I tried a variety of shoes and gait analysis etc etc. These running shoes have transformed my running experience and I not only have no calf pain, I am upping my mileage considerably and am amazed how little I suffer after my long runs wearing these. I can't reccomend them highly enough.

At first I thought these were over priced hype but after a couple of runs the hype is real. So comfortable and the return you get from the sole is unreal

Excellent energy return in a surprisingly stable Zoom X shoe!!
Brilliant weight for a training shoe of this level of cushioning. It was surprisingly stable with a nice rocker that pushes you up onto your toes, the upper is probably the nicest I’ve had in a mileage trainer.

Excellent Cushioned Leg-Savers!
The best shoes I’ve worn for long runs! The generous wedge of ZoomX keeps things controlled yet wonderfully cushioned and fast. The overall shape is a little clunky but other than that these shoes are excellent and very forgiving on the legs. Have enjoyed wearing them!
