Womens Gel Nimbus 21

Much MUCH better, but still a little too narrow. My toes went numb. This has been my fav running show for almost 20 years. Please restore back to EXACTLY the way it used to be

They are so comfortable! I really like them. Very stabilizing.

My feet hurt! I wore ASICS for 20 years no problems until 19s & 20s. Tightness from top to bottom. Very narrow width, not appropriate for running.

I love the Gel Nimbus 21! Have previously purchased 17, 18, 19 and 20. Nimbus 21 has ample foot room and is great for walking and running, as I am on my feet most of the day. Shoe has great support and is comfortable. Love the color choices too!

I love these shoes! My feet feel supported and cushioned. The color is misleading from the online listing, however. But I still really liked the colors and am happy with my purchase. It was also really quick, free, and easy shipping!

Fantastic shoe. I have 19, 20 and 21. 19 had the best ball of foot padding and I wish it would come back, but it’s still my favorite workout shoe. Sturdy no matter if you are running, elliptical, bike, etc.

Gel Nimbus have been the best shoes for my back but the 21st edition are hard as bricks. So disappointed. Hopefully I can break them down to be softer?!? I would pass on this edition if you’re looking for a shoe that feels like walking on clouds.

I have worn Asics for 20 years, and the Nimbus for much of that time. Honestly, the 21 is disappointing. It feels like I'm running on concrete blocks. No shock absorption. You can do better, Asics!!!!

Got it for my mother who’s constantly on her feet waitressing at a busy restaurant; her toes used to hurt in her old shoes but she says the pain is gone in these!! She can’t stop raving about them.

I bought these about 3 weeks ago to replace my Nimbus 20s. The heel in these feels like someone put a thick extra firm mattress in them. They’re fine for walking/standing, but I hate them for running. Will have to find another shoe as I purchased them for running.

+ I do like the color combo.
- Hate these for running. Find myself running on my top toes to avoid the heel. And my customer service experience with ASICS.com has been horrible.

My sister who has plantar fasciitis recommended this sneaker for working out. I put it on to try it out and the soles were rock hard. I couldn't imagine trying to break them in.

Need more gel and cushioning! My older ones had way more gel very disappointed. Cost is high. Didnt mind in the past shoes because they felt great but not my 21's need to go back. Do like that they are wider but that's it.

I absolutely LOVE the Gel Nimbus line of Asics. HOWEVER, there is a distinct and recognizable difference in the level of comfort and cushion in the new 21.....THERE IS NONE. The 21 feels hard when I put my feet in and step down. There is a noticeable difference in the comfort when walking in them. These will definitely be going back. Please consider bringing back that same level of cushion and comfort as the Nimbus 19.

My 4th pair of asic Gel Nimbus. I don't run, just wear them because they are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. They correct my slight pronation issue which helps with a congenital back defect, relieving pain I suffered for years. I just wish asics would make all their women's shoes in extended sizes instead of just in a couple of styles.

This is by far the BEST pair of shoes I have every had. I have about 40 pairs of shoes, mainly athletic pairs. I also stand all day at my job as a coach so I really needed good shoes for my feet. In these, my feet literally never hurt during coaching or at the end of the day. I LOVE them!

Good cushion for your feet and great ankle support

I loved my Gel-Nimbus 19s; they were supportive, and had great cushion and bounce. These 21s are the opposite! They feel like bricks even after breaking them in. They don't have the cushion or the bounce that the older models had. BRING BACK THE BOUNCE!

I have found the Gel Nimbus to be a great sneaker for me. They are immediately comfortable and feel great!

I have been wearing ASICS for 20 years Nibus runs 1/2 smaller. There seems to be less cushion in the forefoot. On my run yesterday the soles of my feet were sore FIRST TIME EVER. DId not meet my expectations. They feel stiff and not enough cushion. I am ready to try another brand. I am not sure why they keep changing the shoe.

I have purchased 5 pairs of GEL-Nimbus running shoes over the years. Started with 10, then 13, 14 and 16. My newest, the 21, is more like the 10s which I also loved. The 13s and 14s were good. The 16s were kind of funky, with much less support. I am so glad I ordered the 21s. They are snug, fit like a glove and provide me with much more support and stability than the pairs since the 10s. Love the silver/gray. Expect I will order another pair before they are all gone.

Search your factory for a Nimbus 16, the best ever. My toe came out the top but I still ran a marathon wearing them.
I can't wear a wide because my heels are narrow and slip.Time for a new brand 0 stars and sad :(

I am waiting on a refund. This is why i have not rated shoes. I need a 1/2 size bigger. Other then that, once i receive refund to reorder 1/2 size up i will then rate shoes.

Gel Nimbus 18 was THE BEST. The 21’s aren’t nearly as comfortable and look cheaper. I bought 2 pairs and sent them back. Wish I had bought more of the 18’s. When they feel like those again, look good, and are as cushion-y soft as those, I will stick up and buy several pairs. Listen to the consumers, Asics...they have spoken! :

I am DIE hard Asics fan and I run 7 to 8 miles a day in them. I have always worn the Gel Nimbus and am so sad you guys have changed your cushioning. Not sure what you changed, but these are not comfortable. Hard, bad on the knees. Returned the pair I bought.

I love these shoes. They have so much cushion and are very responsive.

I am disappointed in the wear of these shoes as I’ve only had them a few months and the sole is coming apart.

I run most of my workouts (160k per week in these shoes and I have to say that they are durable. What's more, I feel that the cushioning is lighter compared to its predecessor. The upper mesh is really breathable. I love the idea of the dual-foam midsole technology. One to absorb the shock and one to put a spring in your step.

I wrote a review earlier but it went to wrong shoe? This is similar to what I said, this shoe fits like a glove. Just like they pour a mold over my foot it's snug in mid section, heel holds my foot and toe box is not so big my foot is swimming in it like my 18's. This is PERFECTION in sizing! Haven't had a shoe fit my size 5 foot in nearly 30 years! Good cushioning and shoe is less heavy than it predessers. Very very happy with these!

I found these several weeks ago. Went to our Asics store at an outlet mall.. placed the order there for free shipping and next day delivery. It's very hard to find any large lady sizes in shoes. I love nimbus but please have more of a selection in colors for ladies in a size 13 ...

Over the past few years, my old favorite sneaker keeps getting more and more uncomfortable. The 21 is the worst. Tight fit, no cushion..ugh! Don't waste your time or money. Used to love them..but no more.

I have had continued success with all of the ASICS I have had for over fifteen years!
I can order the same size each time, and know I will be happy with the fit!
After having a ankle fracture, and going through rehab, I can be very comfortable with the stability of my Nimbus Gels.

I have been running for years and have never fallen. On the second day using them for some reason I pitched forward, was not able to catch myself and fell flat on my face. I didn't break anything, just a bad bruise on my chin.
I am still using them, but very carefully. I think they are too much for me. I run 5xweek for 2 miles and am 78 years old. The surface was flat sidewalk with no cracks that I have been using for years with no problem.

I have always purchased the nimbus line and never had a problem until now. I ordered the nimbus 21 and it was God awful. First, the heel was incredibly hard. Absolutely, no bounce at all. Second, the shoe runs small. Must order at least 1/2 size bigger.
My toes were curled up in the front . So returned them and ordered the quantum which the gentleman on the phone suggested. Its a smidge softer but my heels are in such pain by the end of the day. I am not a runner but work in a restaurant. I would have returned these too but i have worn them. Why on earth would asics change a perfectly good shoe? Were there people complaining about past models? Think not. Judging from the countless reviews i read, it's the exact
opposite. So why try to make a "better" version. Leave well enough alone . Im going to look online for another company that makes gel running shoes. Hope i have luck

Have worn nimbus for years and was very disappointed in the 20s I just got these 21s and I am happier with them. Love the color and the sizing is good, however, the arch isn’t high enough and like the 20s there front of the shoe is too wide for me.

I'm on my second pair of the Nimbus 21s and I love them. I am marathon training and typically when I get a new pair of running shoes I have a few day period of breaking them in. But the 21s are so comfortable even during the first run. I've always loved the Nimbus and I am very happy with the new model

These gym shoes are too narrow.

I have been wearing the Nimbus for the last 5 years in UK size 8.5 and have found them extremely comfortable. Bought the 21 to run a marathon in April and they are too tight on the toe, will only be able to use for 5-10km runs. Really disappointed after spending so much on them.

I’m happy the 21’s fit like the 18’s, for the most part. Those were still the best. The 21 has the room in the toe box like it should. They do run a 1/2 size small though so buy a bigger size. They are cushiony but not as much as the 18’s but definitely better than the 19’s and 20’s. I hope they come out with better color choices! Where are the PINK ones?? Girls like pink! I bought 2 of the 21’s so far. I’m waiting for more color choices that I like. I was told they will come out with a couple more. I had bought about 6 or 7 of the 18’s when they were out because they were the best and loved the color choices. So ASICS,......step it up w/the colors!

There is no comfort to the new version, the previous shoes gel cushioning was much better. It seems ASICS has gone cheaper and made a less quality shoe with less comfort. These were awful from the moment I tried them on it was like walking on concrete and NOT clouds. They offer no cushioning. Do not buy the new cheaper version.

I have had my Gel Nimbus 21 for a week now and I could not be happier. Great support, fits my orthotics nicely.

Just received my Gel Nimbus 21. Sadly it runs a little short so I had to return. Still a well made shoe with good pronation and stability.

Over the (MANY years I’ve worn Nimbus, I’ve found “Same Size Nimbus, Same Color, runs DIFFERENT depending on where made (ie: Nimbus made in China might run “normal ASICS size”, while Nimbus made in Indonesia or Vietnam runs 1/2 size smaller.

I bought this 1 week ago and the shoes are pretty ( I’m very picky ) and the fit is perfect ( size 5 ) but most of all the cushioning and comfort are amazing!!! My husband and I both have the Nimbus 17,18,20 . We only buy the nimbus and we are glad we get to try the latest one!

I really wish I had bought 10 pairs of the 18s! That was the last great Nimbus ASICS made. This shoe is hard, tight and such a disappointment. I am sorry to write this, but I think I should tell you. It did not meet any expectation of mine at all. Sadly I cannot return it because I have walked around in them!
