New year and new resolutions! I, like most people, at the start of the year try and make some small changes to my lifestyle. It may be doing an extra gym session a week, going for an extra run, eating healthier etc. This year however, my resolution is to try and cook more often! Sometimes/most of the time I come home tired after training and take the easy option and order in some food, but I'm determined to change my ways! I'm no Jamie Oliver, but I can give most things a go in the kitchen. I started it off this week with, pardon the pun, a "chilli con Kearney", not the most challenging or most exotic of meals, but it’s easy and healthy.

We have a great nutritionist at Leinster who often gives us good protein bar recipes and these were my next culinary challenge. They were very easy to make and a great healthy treat than you can leave in your fridge for the week.

Even after a hectic December trying to buy all your presents, January is always a good time to do some more shopping as all the sales are on! I had a few vouchers that I got over Christmas so I was ready to go! Life Style Sports was my first port of call of course to check out the 7 Grand range. I really like their stuff, as it’s more of a smart casual range which I was badly in need of.

January is always a busy time of the rugby season, we have two big Heineken cup games which are must wins if we want to get out of the group stages. We also have the announcement of the Six Nations squad coming up, which everybody is hoping to be involved in. Even if it may be a quiet time of the year for most people, it’s a busy time for me with plenty to look forward to.

Check back in next week when we'll have another great blog post from one of our other Style Ambassadors, Conor Murray! Back to Blog
