Are these black trainers suitable for school?

How do I keep my black runners clean? 

Black runners hide dirt well but can show scuffs, dust and creasing over time. Wipe them down after wear with a soft, damp cloth to lift surface dirt before it settles. For tougher marks, use a little mild soap and a soft brush, working gently on leather or mesh, and avoid soaking them. Never put them in the washing machine, as it can break down the glue and materials. Let them air dry away from direct heat, and stuff them with paper to hold their shape. For leather styles, an occasional black polish or protector spray keeps the colour looking fresh and helps cover minor scuffs. Rotating between pairs also gives each one time to air out between wears.
