The Finer Details

  • GORE-TEX along the upper helps your feet stay dry from precipitation without sacrificing that comfortable feel of the Peg Trail. Its flexible, lightweight design helps keep out the rain when running between the wet roads and trails.
  • Less rubber along the outsole creates a smooth transition from road to trail while preserving the full-length React midsole. The rubber outsole wraps around the front of the shoe to provide extra durability. A generative traction pattern combined with rubber in the forefoot provides extra grip for technical trails while maintaining a smooth ride for the road.
  • Nike React technology is a lightweight, durable foam that delivers a smooth, responsive ride. Its full-length design provides stability as you brave rocky terrain.
  • Updated materials around the ankle help ensure water and trail debris don't get into the shoe.

Great shoes but fell apart
Best shoes I've ever had until the lugs started falling off after less than a month of having them.

Fashion & Function All-In-One
These are really comfy and very springy, although I'll only be walking in them, I'd say they'd be very good for trail running given the comfort and responsiveness.

The Gore-Tex means they're very waterproof, and the styling makes them as suitable for fashion as they are for function. They look great and they feel great.

Amazing
These are the best shoes I've ever owned. Very comfortable and nice amount of bounce that propels you forward. They can get a bit sweaty but I think this is unavoidable in a waterproof shoe.

Nike gortex trainers
These are now my second pair of pegs.
I've come back to these trainers because they are so comfortable on trail runs. They have a great spring in them, I feel very Confident running over all terrains with my dodgy ankle that I broke a few years ago. They really take a lot of pressure off your feet. I would say these are unfortunately not 100 % waterproof. You will get wet feet. There are probably better waterproof trainers out there but for the sheer comfort of these trainers I bought a second pair.

I received my order but after wearing it just twice, it tore from the side. Although it was a perfect size, it started from one end and then on another one too. I'm afraid it might completely rip off now. This shouldn't be right for a newly bought shoe. I'm really disappointed with my purchase!!

First time use review - 6k trail run.
So this review is based off first run experience but these shoes were absolutely perfect in wet and windy conditions. A 6k trail run on a mixture of road, gravel and mud and the grip was impressive. They're really comfortable and have good support around the heel & ankle. After the run they were covered in mud! I hosed them down with cold water and all the dirt came away with ease. Impressions for a 1st time use is definitely 5/5.
