Have only worn once but v impressed so far . High intensity class with jumps and kicks and these shoes gave good spring. Only slight negative is that they feel slightly hard on the side of my feet on the top sides of the shoe but friends who have the shoe already assure me this gives in time. More colour options would make me purchase another pair

I wore the other metcons for a few years before being given a pair of these as a gift and I've never looked back. I'm on my 3rd pair now and wear them everyday, for weightlifting or metcons. The only thing I don't use them for is running. When I'm doing really heavy squats, I wear the romaleos but these are great for 90% of my heavy lifts. I only switch for the 1 rm stuff for stability and habit. These will suit you for all gym work. Like I said it's just running that I don't do in them as they're not cushioned but this is what makes them great for metcons.

I have been debating whether to get these trainers for a LONG time having bought others in the mean time and I just wish I'd bit the bullet. I love them, they are comfortable and sturdy and wish I'd bought a pair forever ago! I did size up by half which I'm glad of as I think buying my actual size would've had them to tight and I'm fairly wide footed!

Great shoes for HIIT/crossfit workouts. Not as pink as in the picture, more on the deep purple side but still a nice pop of colour!

I absolutely love these trainers they are very comfortable and to definitely my go to trainers I have no bad words to say about a these.

The W Nike Free Metcon 5 are a very comfortable trainer and also a perfect fit to size. These have been worn in the gym and have been one of the most comfiest training shoes worn. The lightweight style of the trainer ensures softness on the foot when exercising different techniques that includes moving the feet quickly during exercises.

I tried these out at the gym and have to say they passed every test. On the treadmill to walk in, run in and even on inclined walking all were extremely comfortable on my feet. The sole has a great cushion on it and absorbed all activities from running to box jumps to squating and also lunging.
The look of the shoes personally I find to be rather bland and the colour personally not my choice.
I have tried many different types of shoes for the gym and these for comfort and functionality come up near the very top, I can see a plain black pair of these being my goto gym shoes in the future.

Well these didn't disappoint.
The most comfortable, flexible and lightweight trainers I've ever owned.
The fit is true to size, toe box doesn't squish your toes so while training in the gym these are perfect as again flexible when lifting.
I went for purple which I never go for but actually went with everything.
These can be worn on so many occasions due to the style so not just for the gym.
I wore these while on holiday due to having that old problem of slightly swollen feet in the heat and they were fabulous due to the upper being slightly stretchy due to the polyester in the upper.

The shoes are really good design. However is would half size up due to the high instep. I would also say that if you had wide feet you may need to size up for a 6 to a 7. The shoes are good for running as the material is malleable and have a good grip. They are really easy to get one an off now shoe horn needed.

The Nike Free Metcon 5 has a "barefoot" feel to the sole like all other trainers in the "free" style. Allowing you to get the feel of a lightweight, bouncy trainer in the forefoot, but is actually quite stable around the heel.
Because of the barefoot feel, this shoe is good for gym style cardio or classes, but not necessarily for running out on the roads.

The fabric on the upper of the shoe gives the feel of a soft, flexible, neoprene that allows your foot to breathe, and be comfortable in workouts. Although this material does not repel water. The colour of the material is a simple lilac/purple, I feel this style shoe is better in more neutral colours.

The shoe is wide fitting and does run big to size. I would recommend going for at least half a size smaller to allow yourself more stability and security within the trainer.

I'm always a 5.5 (39) in Nike trainers but I got these in a 6 (40) and they're a little too big so definitely get your usual size as noticed some reviews said to size up. I've since tried these on in store and the 5.5 fits perfectly so plan to get these in black as the size6 doesn't quite give me the support needed during cardio as my foot can move around. That aside they are comfortable and I have worn them for both cardio and weight training. My favourite trainers of all time were TR7 free and I'm currently wearing metcon 6 and these new metcon free 5s seems to offer the best of both worlds. They have flexibility and bounce for high intensity workouts but still offer stability for weight training. I also like that the tongue is stitched in so can't move and they feel snug around your feet before tightening the laces. The rubber coating round the toe box offers extra durability which is good. My only criticism is that the heel comes quite high up the back of ankle but I'm getting used to it the more I've worn them.

The Nike Metcon's are definitely the best gym shoe, and the 5's do not disappoint. They are easily the most comfortable pair of trainers I own. They are cushioned very well and it feels like you are walking on air. The front part of the shoe is very flexible and sock-like but the heel is solid, to ensure stability when your working out. It is also a very versatile shoe, and can be worn when completing various workouts such as high intensity training, general workouts and light to moderate weight-lifting. I also enjoy wearing them during my day-today life or when I go on walks, as they do not hurt my feet after wearing them for an extended period of time. The shoes themselves are very stylish and they do fit true to size. Overall, I would absolutely recommend these shoes to anyone who is looking for a stylish, but durable workout shoe; you will not be disappointed.

These trainers are soo comfy. Feels like you're walking on squishy clouds. The fit is great and they look really nice on. I wasn't too sure about the colour at first but when I got them on they look really nice. They are super lightweight so great for working out or running.

These trainers are super super comfortable. The colour is lovely and the fabric is light and airy. The trainer itself has a flexibility to it but also very durable. I wear them for long walks, for skipping, running errands. My favourite go to trainer! Very easy to put on and take off.

There's not a bad word I have to say about these other than avoid wearing them on wet surfaces as they can be slightly slippery. Otherwise they provide perfect support and are of great quality. They're very breathable and perfect for weight training as well as cardio.

I dont think i have ever worn trainers which are as comfortable as these. Its like walking on a cloud. I am at the gym a lot and these trainers have really helped increase my lerformance levels, especially on the treadmill. The colour goes with all of my gym outfits, although, these also look great with leggings or jeans and a top. Although i have worn them a lot, the trainers still look brand new!

I really love these workout shoes. They are very comfortable, light weight and suitable for different types of exercises from high energy cardio workout to strength training.

I also wore them during my recent birthday trip in Northern Spain. I walked all day under different weather conditions (sunny, rainy or windy). My feet were very happy indeed and it made my day extra special =)

Being predominantly a runner and needing a gym specific shoe for my strength workouts, these are great and fit for purpose. Come in a variety of colours and quite cutting edge in style. The sole of the shoe is broad, but this provides superb grip for my squats, lunges, even when working on the gym mat where other trainers previously slip, they did not. They comfortably fit but having narrow feet they seem to suit a wider fit foot so perhaps half a size smaller would suit unless you have naturally wide feet. They are very comfortable and lightweight, not sure that I would wear them for walking as I feel they have a specific place use for me, but I actually think if you're looking for a shoe for weights classes, hiit, gym workouts these are the shoe, they will be my go to indoor training pair!

I took these trainers out of the box, tried them on and didn't take them off for the rest of the day.

Amazing lightweight and comfortable, I've worn these trainers for everyday running around and during workouts at the gym.

The colour is lovely, purple isn't normally a colour I would choose in a trainer but the shade means they're not too bold and blends well with lots of other colours ways.

I've worn them for a couple of weeks now and the structure of the shoe is holding well.

I love these trainers, simple.
They are incredibly versatile, flat soled for lifting but with enough flexibility that they work well for cardio gym classes & cardio machines at the gym such as the stair master.
They are a great fit, lightweight and supportive. I genuinely can't find fault with them and it means not having to use my running trainers at the gym or having to go barefoot.
I have recommended these to all of my friends.

Metcons have been a staple favourite of mine for a year or so now and I was thrilled there was a new design and fresh new colours. With trainers, I tend to opt for neutral tones or black, so they can be paired with lots of options- but I am in love with this purple shade!
They are amazing for the gym, comfortable when walking on the treadmill and such a stable base for lifting weights and squats.
They are comfortable whether wearing a light trainer sock or a tube sock, the shoe hugs the foot in all the right places. The laces can be tied or tucked depending on how much security you need from your trainers, or where you are wearing them. I love the waffle material of the shoe, which gives it a softer feel. There is nothing I would change about this shoe!

I love these trainers! They come in some really nice vibrant colours to brighten up your outfit. I wear these trainers for running, exercise, running errands and just general day to day. They are really comfortable trainers. They feel secure on the foot and I like how the toes is more rounded as it gives you more toe room especially if you use them for running, gives your feet room to breath and would be great for someone with wide feet. I love the sole of the trainers how it's in segments and quite thick, it makes the trainer really flexible and durable when pounding the pavements which makes them a great trainer for exercising! They're durable, easy to clean and just a great all round comfortable shoe, I would definitely recommend and want them in all colours!

If your looking for style and comfort then these are the perfect trainers. They look and feel great allowing me to run even further than before. The trainers fits snug on my feet and are extremely lightweight. I wear these trainers going to the gym, shops and running in the park. Usually when jogging I can't wait to take my trainers off but with the Nike Free Metcon 5's I don't have this issue anymore. They fit snug just like a glove and slip on and off with ease. I love the stability I get from these trainers due to the soft foam cushioning my feet. Well what more can I say the design of these shoes is perfect ! Good flat service for weights , stability but also enough cushioning and durability for running light in the gym ! This is an excellent all rounder shoe for the gym going who lifts weights and also loves to keep fit !!

These trainers are extremely comfortable. I love the design, especially the sole. It's flexible and moves well with your foot. Nice support and the heel is very comfortable. My ankle is slim and these didn't rub or slip at all.
Easy to do up and tighten, my only slight issue was with the laces as they don't stay done up for every long.
I haven't washed them but I feel they will wash well in the machine.

The Nike Free Metcon 5 arrived and very quickly made its way into my favourite shoes.

Size wise I am usually a 7.5UK in my shoes, and for context in Nike Dunks I am also a 7.5UK. These shoes fit true to size and I would recommend going with your usual shoe size, or whatever you usually go for in your Nike kicks! It's also worth noting that I have wide feet and these fit great.

I actually have a lot of ankle pain due to a chronic pain condition and find a lot of shoes cause me to have at least a little amount of pain. These shoes, however, kept me painfree through various activities (weight-lifting, cardio and day to day life!). I think this is because of the ankle, it genuinely feels like it was made specifically for my foot and offers a huge amount of support when in use. I also really really love the soft, almost sock-like feel of the upper fabric. It's stretchy, comfortable and makes it super easy to slip the shoe on and off (which is a must-have quality for me). The base of the shoe is more sturdy (and not sock like at all) and is flat and thick. It is a nice middle-ground between soft and firm and makes movement in this shoe feel consistent and stable. I was worried that my wide foot would be too big for the base of the shoe, but that wasn't the case at all. Overall the fabric of the shoes is a 10/10 for me.

I have these shoes in purple and white, and they are amazing. The white is obviously going to get a bit dirty the more you use them, especially if you're outside, but I don't think that's much of an issue unless you want super clean shoes 24/7. I personally think these are pretty cool and work with my gym clothes as well as my everyday casuals.

Honestly there's not much I would change about this shoe. I think perhaps in future a colourway with with a black or darker sole would be good for those who like to keep their shoes looking fresh, but other than that these are as close to perfect as shoes can get.

I would especially recommend this shoe to people who do a lot of weight-lifting or gym-based workouts. They are really comfortable and condusive to quick movements, stability and comfort. My PT also said he recommends these shoes to his clients as they are (in his opinion) some of the best for gym work. I would also recommend this to those who need some ankle support, I love to walk in these and I am so glad that I have found a product that helps keep me painfree.

I am a runner and always wear Nike Pegasus for road and trail. I have recently suffered injury and have been focussed on rehabilitation and strength work. I was keen to try the Nike Free Metcon 5 in my new exercise programme and I have not been disappointed. The soles have great grip and I feel stable and secure, even in single leg stretches. The flexibility in the forefoot is much greater than any other trainer I have tried and stands up to the demands of lunges and calf raises. The colour is really cute and I have received compliments on the style whilst wearing them! If you have a high arch or wide foot, it is important to know that the tongue is sewn in so taking them on and off is not as quick and easy as styles with a loose tongue. Overall, these trainers have kept me motivated with my new routine and I would recommend them if you are looking for a new style for the gym.

Really love these trainers. As a working mother of 4 I need to make sure comfort is everything but I also still want to feel on trend while working out too!
On my morning run I felt super stylish and my feet felt great post run too!
I've also worn these with my casual clothes to watch my son at football.
The colour is lovely and makes me feel very girly.
The sole is very soft but also feels durable whilst running.
I love how quickly I could put these on and when fastened they didn't come open easily.

Overall I'm quite happy with these shoes; I've been looking for a while for a commendable easy to wear gym shoe which allows comfortable walking/training as well as doesn't require much effort too "break in" - I've worn these shoes for my regular gym training, realised their a bit too stiff and rugged to do do cardiovascular training in, and they've been spot on - the whole shoe is very fitting, snug and stiff which allows for perfect formation when doing lifts either free weight or machine; they're somewhat light which was a surprise to me and overall comfort is solid as I didn't want to take them straight off my feet before exiting the gym or doing my daily activities like a quick run to the shops. The shoes do not appear to appeal to everyone though, they are definitely one of the shoes in which you need to look twice too see what they are but for price and comfort and using the shoes for what they're built for; couldn't complain and after biting the bullet and trying a pair; I'd happy using the Metcon 5 as my go too training shoe (running aside ofc)

Been wearing these along with my Nike Zoom superrep 4 and. The Nike Free Metcon 5 are a versatile training shoe that is perfect for a variety of workouts, including HIIT training, weightlifting and even yogi. They're comfy and look amazing. I get loads of compliments when I wear them!!

Out of the box the shoe is a little narrow on my feet but I loosened the laces a bit and they were fine so do the same of you get a pair (which you should).

They're flexible and supportive, the rubber sole provides great traction in the gym. If you are looking for a versatile training shoe that is good for a variety of workouts, the Nike Free Metcon 5 is a great choice in my opinion.

I must admit I was really excited to get these shoes however after having them for a month I can safely say I'm not in love.

I'll talk about the pros first, the Metcon 5 offer great support and stability for running, walking and the gym. I could wear these shoes all day and the soles of my feet would feel as fresh as when I woke up. I also love how lightweight the trainer is despite the bulky appearance.

The reason why I've had to knock my review down is due to how tight the toe box area feels. My toes often feel crushed and as if there isn't enough height within the shoe to accommodate the toes. Maybe a bigger size would help but I already went up half a size!

These shoes are fantastic yes the do run small so I half size up and they are perfect I take body pump blaze legs bum tums and occasionally step they are perfect for all these classes and for doing the food shop I have them in different colours like Paris Hilton said if you like a top buy it in every colour… these are worth every penny
