Garmin Fenix 7x Sapphire Solar Edition Watch

After a few days of use, my watch would restart while performing activities such as running or track running. Additionally, the route mapping was inconsistent, and the measurement parameters made no sense, including power, pace, speed, time, elevation, and intensity minutes. After these failures, I took the watch to the store where I bought it, and from there, it was sent to the authorized distributor (Pamacol - Colombia). The diagnosis was:

"1. The error folders present on the device were deleted, as they could interfere with the device's operation. Available software updates were downloaded and installed using the Garmin Express application.

2. Installed version: 17.23

3. Various activities were initiated, and the device operated within parameters. It did not turn off, restart, or exhibit any operating system failures."

After receiving the watch and resuming activities, it continues to restart several times while I'm doing a running or track running activity.

I have been wanting to keep a closer eye on my health patterns/sleep/heart/duration of exercise and areas I've been traveling. The Fenix 7 exceeded my needs and gave me more than I could ask for. Great watch love it

I bought this watch to replace my Apple Watch Ultra. At first I was very hesitant since I've only ever used an Apple Watch to track all my workouts for years. After the first workout seeing all the stats and how much battery life I had I knew I had made the right choice.

I got this a month ago as a replacement for my Instinct Solar, and I could not be happier. The watch is excellent, and packed with more features than I will ever need. One negative, I am a big man and the original band does come up a little short. It does reach, but barely. I purchased a dive band (not cheat), and it solved the issue and then some (I actually had to cut some of that off!!).

Was gifted the fenix 7 sapphire solar and it is a tremendous upgrade from a Samsung frontier 2. All the features available are amazing. The golf app is super accurate, the built in light is awesome to have as a nightshifter. By far the best feature is the battery life. A full charge gets me 20+ days.

I would highly recommend this watch even with the price point

The watch is large overall. It has alot of features which can be difficult to navigate. I find myself removng the watch because of its size when I am engaged in activities which require alot of movenent

I spent months comparing different smartwatches and it ultimately came down to the Apple Watch Ultra 2 or the Garmin Fenix Saphire Solar. Super happy I went with the Garmin. My last smartwatch was an Apple Watch that I loved for integration with other Apple devices, but even as an Apple user, the Garmin is fantastic. Not having to charge every night is a huge plus. I charged my watch when I first got home with it, and I've been running it for over 2 weeks without charging. To make it even better, it says I still have 13 days of battery life. The large screen, features, and customization while still being a very rugged and simple watch make me wish I'd gotten it sooner. The built in flashlight, maps, and ABC sensors have made this a significant upgrade from my last smartwatch. Still yet to test how rugged it is long term, but it's been holding up great so far and I have no doubt it will last years.

Love all the features this has to offer. So much data to learn!

I went through 3 Fitbits before finally pulling the trigger and buying the Garmin.After my last 3 month old Fitbit failed and I spent 5 days fighting with customer service to get it replaced, I went out and bought the Garmin. , It's everything the Fitbits wish they were. Yes, these are expensive but if you are on the fence, just do it, you will not be disappointed.

Bought this watch a few weeks ago after owning 2 Apple Watches. This watch is much easier to use and is intuitive not complicated. Love the watch.

I could not be more happy with my purchase. I love data and my Garmin records tons of it. I will be using it on the Appalachian trail. For now I use it for training. Well done Garmin.

I have used this watch now on a few hikes and walks so far and am loving all the features. Amazing watch and I can't wait to use it for my trip to Peru this year. As well as for skiing and SUPing. Love that it has all the ski resort maps on it as well.

It's definitely worth the money. There is so many things the watch is capable of doing. The one thing i wish was easier is customization of the watch face. I still am having a hard time figuring that out.

Had the 6x solar and upgraded to the 7x sapphire solar..touch screen is nice. Battery life is awesome. The different features are great..no need to look at other watches this takes the cake...no need for a speaker to make calls..that's why we go out to the trails to get away from all of that!

Had this watch for almost a month, absolutely a beast with features, functionality, and style!

I opened the box and wore it 3 weeks before being charged.

Makes me work so much harder on the workouts with the alerts on for cardio,O2 and reps

This is my third fenix. I started many years ago with a 3, then upgraded to a 5. Loved them both. In fact I loved the 5 so much that I dithered endlessly about upgrading again. Was it really worth it? Did I really need the extra functionality? Finally took the leap and am so glad. Just a month in and I feel the extra data on training zones, HRV, and stress has dramatically improved my training efficiency. Bonus, my 5 is now dutifully serving a family member who is a new runner. Win-win. Garmin, keep doing what you're doing! ❤️

I'm user of Fenix 5, 5 plus, 5x, 7 and now upgraded to 7x. All previous models had almost everything I wanted to have, but this one includes all I want. Can't imagine what else can be added. It has all what 7 pro version except HR is not ECG, but for such accuracy i would still prefer doctor's trusted equipment.

And one more thing. I'm glad it is not a boring AMOLED. I hope GARMIN will keep it in their future versions.

My wife got me this watch for my birthday and I love it. Super easy to use great for tracking my workouts, runs and our hikes. I kinda thought the flashlight was useless but I actually use it haha.

This is the best watch on the planet. It does everything, the battery lasts for at least a full month, it has a ton of features and plenty I don't even use... and the light on the top of the watch is one of the most amazing features since Dick Tracy's watch. What else is there to say?

Amazing gift from my wife. Has worked flawlessly in Yosemite and Mt Baldy. Still lots to learn but have the basics down. Far beyond my needs, but for any expert outdoors athlete, everything you need is there. Including the "trackback" stuff for this directionally challenged 1% Osage dude. Great buy. Yes. They are pricey, but Garmin is old-school ethical. They sent my son a replacement after his 4 or 5 stopped working after several years. That, is customer service, and was a big factor in purchasing. Compare it to an Apple Watch that costs more, we have 4 of those. There is no comparison.

Bought this a month ago and love it. Battery life is amazing. Great features. Great for hiking and good with the map features.

My first Garmin was Fenix 5X Sapphire. I fell in love with it. So, I upgraded it with Fenix 7X, Sapphire of course. Still learning new features.

This is my 5th Garmin watch would never get a different watch.

I bought this to have more trail running specific functions and better battery life than my Apple Watch Ultra

I have had the watch for two weeks and have only charged it once with daily activity tracking. Looks and functions perfectly. I would recommend.

I bought this watch 3 weeks ago it's a great watch I upgraded from the Instinct solar "original ". There's a lot more to learn with the 7x. I like the touch screen everything is faster I get 28/ 30 days depending on the settings which is great.The build quality feels solid and it's built to military standards which is a plus. Really like the weather overlays and the map's also the improved health metrics. Durability, reliability and longevity to be seen.

Upgraded to the Fenix 7x Solar and have not been disappointed. One watch to rule them all!!!

I returned it I bought it on line and when I received it it looked so cheap for the money it wasn't worth keeping so I returned it I buy a lot of garmin products but think I'm not buying anymore everything now just looks cheaply made

There are no intuitive features on this watch. Can't figure out how to instal non Garmin faces. Face is too dark

Not only does this watch look awesome, its comfortable and the fitness tracking is the best in the market

This is my 3rd Garmin Fenix Watch and the best by far. Does a superb job tracking through the roughest terrain. Would highly recommend

I had it for 2 weeks now for that price I should be able to See the images in small and with a good quality the touch screen would be nice if it had left right,right left, be able to access the option more quickly.

This is an eye-wateringly expensive smartwatch. But so far I'm really liking it. After 1.5 weeks the battery is at 56% and says that's another 16 days before I have to charge. Hard to beat that. I have used the GPS only three or four hours, but that's good battery life. Position is far more accurate than my last watch (Vívoactive HR). The heart-rate and sleep tracking also seem far improved. The display is very clear and legible, both at night and in full sun. The size is lovely for my 60+ yr old eyes when reading text messages.

I have two complaints.

Firstly the atrocious and cheap silicone band provided with the watch. That seems to cause skin problems in so many people. Surely Garmin could afford to provide some halfway decent choices when charging close to $1,000 for a watch. Apple have them well beaten there. I was a little concerned the size would be problematic. My wrist is about average for a bloke, I guess at 7.8" around. With a nice nylon mesh (i.e. breathable), velcro (i.e. infinitely adjustible) replacement band (Engreek, $24.79 on Amazon) the watch is very comfortable.

Secondly, Garmin seems incapable of writing software. To install many watch faces and apps you need to connect it to a PC/laptop. Whaaaat. Are they incapable.of putting that into a smartphone app? Apparently so. Oh, and then you need not one, but two smart phone apps. I dread trying to get maps downloaded from AllTails to the watch. And no matter that I have a Navionics subscription. It seems practically impossible to connect that to the watch. Seems I need yet another subscription, and yet another app. It's a laughably incompetent set of software, and I'm sure Apple just loves this leve of incompetence in a competitor. The usefulness of the watch is seriously limited by the terrible software.

My first smartwatch was the Fenix 3 Sapphire and for a little over a year, I have used a Fenix 6 Sapphire that I got from a friend. However, this Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar seems to be the pinnacle of the idea.

The mapping is much more granular. The touchscreen is handy. The flashlight is an absolute game changer.

Love this watch and the update keep on coming. But wish the mapping and tracking was a little more user friendly. Also, tends to be buggy. Still trying to load Spotify on my watch otherwise I go weeks without charging.

I've had other watches with GPS features, but this by far takes the cake. Battery life is a plus due to the solar capability. Much lighter than my last watch and day to use the app features without having to download apps to use features. Would definitely but again

I absolutely love this watch.

Its software and features are incredible.

It literally checks all my boxes from that standpoint.

One issue I have is that the buttons have broken twice and it has been replaced once under the garmin warranty and once under my extended warranty from Amazon. I think it's an amazing watch and it does everything I could ask it for. And support has always been extremely helpful trying to help me with other attempted fixes when the buttons break. Like soaking it, or things like that. But the reliability of the buttons does concern me at this price point. I'd still buy it again. But maybe get an extra warranty if you can. Still my favorite sports watch I've used.

This watch is the perfect training partner and ABC watch out there! The map features are great, and I love the accuracy of the GPS. I have also benefitted from the sleep-tracking features.

This is my second Fenix, I started with the 5 about 5 years ago and it has been BULLETPROOF and such an asset to my active lifestyle. My wife upgraded me recently as a gift to the 7 and it's BALLER and I love it. Enhanced features, wicked long battery life, great functionality, amazing accuracy for the GPS whether you are golfing, going for a run etc...

Plus it has a cool little flashlight on the top that if you double click the light function it comes on..Super strong and convenient when you least expect it...

Price is a little steep but its worth every single penny and my wife has used an Apple Watch for years and would have to charge it every single night and I charge mine about every 3 weeks or so...

She just moved over to Garmin as well to join the Varsity Team...

The features on the watch are great, however I'm unable to read text messages, and when I contacted Garmin support I received no help whatsoever. It's been 2 weeks since I last heard from support staff. Disappointing

Bought a couple weeks ago. Does everything and more than I need.

The 51mm is a little big for me, but I'd rather have the extra size and the flashlight. Which is nice to have I'd you're not carrying another light source around.

I upgraded from a 6 Pro for more gps accuracy, newer metrics and increased battery life. It's what I expected but I would like more battery life. It gets about 1/2 what I expected.

This watch by far exceeds my expectations I love how versatile it is and the battery life.

I'm still learning all the features but I'm very impressed with this watch and all that it does. For the features I have used they worked flawless and gave me all the information I needed. Best watch I have ever owned

I bought this about a month ago and have been using it every day. It's tough I had an issue with a skin but I got a new band from garmin already so far so good. The only negative thing I can think of so far which I know was going to happen is the housing is scratched. I wanted the stainless housing but needed the dark butttons cause I figured the white buttons would get nasty with my line of work Plumber. But I was assured the glass wouldn't scratch which was my main worry and hasn't so far. I love the flashlight for everyday use. It's the main reason I got it my wife says but there's a ton of little things the watch is helpful to me about. Texts, notifications, managing calories, I love how it tracks my sleep. Battery lasts a long time. I like the nylon band better seems like the silicone band was either too tight or too loose.
