Good shoe, extra stiff plate tho
Good shoe , could be better without the super stiff plate, not sure the lateness needed

Clunker
I have been running the the NovaBlast 5 for a year and wanted to try out the SuperBlast. But the SuperBlast colors are so ugly, that I decided to try the SonicBlast, even though the colors are not much better. The difference in the Nova and the Sonic is astonishing. NovaBlast has great cushioning. Even after 340 miles, the foam is pliable and bouncy. From soft heel landing, smooth roll onto forefoot, and easy takeoff, NovaBlast 5 is a great shoe. SonicBlast, in contrast, feels as hard as a rock, like running in combat boots. Jarring to land on the heel, then forefoot slaps down with no roll at all. Take-off is similar, but hips and shins are sore after a few miles. Just walking around the house in the SonicBlast sounds like "Ker-clunk, Ker-clunk, Ker-clunk." I'm thinking about going back to the Kayano line, if I buy more Asics.

Avoid at all costs.
This shoe destroys your Achilles with a rigid upper. I bought a pack of heavy bandaids for this shoe specifically, but thankfully the wear pattern is so bad, it won't last very long. This shoe is a total miss for ASICS and they should bury it.

OMG...the bounce!
Just ordered my 3rd pair at a phenomenal price. Just starting to wear 2nd pair. Unbelievable bounce energy return. Really pushes me along. Reminds me a bit of the OG novablasts. Don't get me wrong, I love my SB2's but these are faster and feel lighter on the foot. Roll through and Toe off is very good. My foot width us fine in them but I do not recommend for wider foot runners. Fis true-to-size.

Great shoe Great Price
Great speed shoe! This is the second plated shoe that I have owned and asics is by far a better and more natural fit for me and my foot.
The first thing I noticed is how lite they were on my foot. Very quick, great response feel on and off the ground - very pleased. I was nervous about the grip, but I have had no traction issues.

The most comfortable shoe ever!
This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever bought. I usually wear On Cloud or Brooks but have found my new favorite. I will be buying more.

Amazing shoe, even more so when on a discount!
Amazing shoe. I was looking for a replacement of other plated trainer (from a different brand) and couldn't find anything, except for the sonicblast! I am a big fan already of the Novablast / Superblast line, so figured this would be a good addition to the rotation. I was not wrong! Took it on a 7 mile treadmill run followed by a 14 mile long run outdoors and it killed it.

Additional callouts: laces are long and upper is comfortable. Ride is firm.

FYI - Cannot comment on durability as I've only ran in the shoe for a couple of days.
